Artem Grigoryan spent over fifteen years in the «Jehovah's Witnesses»* and became «an enemy of God» to his family who remained in the cult when he decided to leave. What began as a personal struggle for freedom gradually turned into a systematic study of the mechanisms of cult influence and ways to escape it.
Today, the author consults families and supports those who have decided to leave the cult. In the book, through personal experience, scientific data, and real cases, he explains how to recognize cult dependency, why cultic thinking is formed, and what exactly loved ones can (and cannot) do. This is a practical guide for those who want to help without causing harm.
After reading, you will be able to:
— notice early signs of involvement in a cult;
— understand why logical arguments only strengthen the adherent's defenses;
— navigate the stages of exiting and the crises that follow;
— help to endure post-cult trauma.
