About the Author David Wilson is an honorary professor of criminology and the founding director of the Center for Applied Criminology at Birmingham City University. Before obtaining his academic position, he worked in several prisons (Grendon, Wormwood Scrubs, and Woodhill in Milton Keynes). Managing the units for the 12 most dangerous inmates in the UK allowed him to interview numerous maniacs and serial killers. David regularly appears in the media, and his documentary 'Interview with a Killer' won a Broadcast Award and a Royal Television Society Award.
