Tao Te Ching. The Teachings of the Way and the Good Power with Parallels from the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita

A classical work of ancient Chinese literature attributed to Laozi, the Tao Te Ching represents the quintessence of Daoist wisdom about the perfect person and their place in the Universe. The richness and imagery of the book's language, the concentration of thought in a small volume have led to the emergence of numerous interpretations of its meaning. In Russia, the number of translations of the Tao Te Ching approaches ten, in English-speaking editions - about fifty; if we take into account all languages of the world, only the Bible has been translated and published more frequently.
This edition is based on the poetic English translation by R. B. Blakeney. Each poem is accompanied by parallels from the Bible and/or the Bhagavad Gita, which gives the text new, often unexpected nuances in sound and creates a new understanding of eternal questions, refracted in their own way by each of these three greatest books of humanity.
