Pummelo. The Psychology of Development Through the Example of One Little Hippopotamus's Childhood

Any other illustrated story is hardly as well-suited for describing and understanding the psychological development of children and adults (little and grown-up Pummelos) as the tale of the little hippopotamus Pummelo.  

It allows for the revelation of certain characteristics of this development, the recognition of the typical troubles and sorrows it entails, and provides psychological justification for them. 

This book is equally good for children and for us adults. It can awaken our inner child and help us communicate with children who are still healthy or possibly already ill, as they find themselves without support in a painful situation. Therefore, it makes sense to embark together with Pummelo on a journey to the yellow bay by the big river.
