Turing Machine Board Game

“Turing Machine” is a board game (primarily solo) that combines elements of a mathematical puzzle and strategic thinking. You will dive into the world of the outstanding English mathematician Alan Turing and become acquainted with his work on decoding the... most secure ciphers. All players will play simultaneously during the round, trying to solve the code. The round consists of only four phases:Guessing. Players make their guesses regarding the three numbers of the code. They choose the corresponding punch cards and assemble an analog computer based on their hypotheses.Ask the machine. With the same set of punch cards during one round, you can check a maximum of 3 verifier cards. Choose a verifier and check whether the statement from it is true according to your guess and the code from the assignment: place the card under your analog computer, and in one of the windows, you will see a red “fail” or a green “success.” Record the new information and cross out unsuitable number options on your notes.Analysis. Players analyze the responses received and update their records, crossing out unsuitable number options.End of the round. Players indicate whether they believe they have already revealed the code by raising their fingers up, or that they have not revealed it yet by lowering their fingers down. If at least one player raises their fingers up, the game moves to the concluding phase.End of the game. If the code was revealed by at least one player, they become the winner.If several players revealed the code, the winner is the one who asked fewer questions during the game.If no one revealed the code, the game ends with no winner. Duration of the game: 20-30 minutes
