Open the book and try to understand what a monster hunter feels when he himself becomes their target.
Former investigator and legendary FBI profiler John Douglas dedicated his life to capturing the most brutal serial killers of the 20th century –...
from Ted Bundy and Charles Manson to the Unabomber and David Berkowitz. Douglas not only solved cases – he delved into the consciousness of evil to save future victims. In this book, first published in 1995, you will find real cases, interviews with criminals and their psychological profiles, as well as gripping details of crimes and unique aspects of law enforcement work.
The methods used by John Douglas inspired the legendary film ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ and the series ‘Mindhunter’.
YOU WILL LEARN:
– what distinguishes a potential victim from a predator;
– why serial killers are not like the monsters from movies;
– how a criminal profile of a perpetrator is created;
– where the thin line is that separates an ordinary person from a monster.
The book was previously published under the title ‘The Psychological Profile of a Killer. Secret FBI Techniques’.
