Ghost Cat Anzu

Living in the Buddhist temple Sosei, the cat Anzu-chan took so long to die that he quietly turned into a ghost cat, celebrating his 32nd birthday. The modern fairy tale penned by the acclaimed master Takashi Imashiro tells the story of Anzu-chan's unhurried and slightly strange life, in which there is sometimes more humanity than in people themselves. In 2024, the manga received a film adaptation of the same name. 'Ghost Cat Anzu is not exactly a ghost in the traditional sense, as he hasn't actually returned from the dead but simply hasn't died, even having reached an advanced age for cats.
