The Road to Serfdom

Friedrich August von Hayek 1899—1992 was one of the great philosophers and economists of the 20th century, a Nobel Prize winner in Economics. "The Road to Serfdom" is a key work by Friedrich August von Hayek, in which the great scholar not only convincingly and fairly criticizes socialist ideology and economy but also proves the inevitability of the transformation of socialist governments into totalitarian dictatorships. According to Hayek, the reasons for the barbarism and violence of totalitarian regimes should be sought in the implementation of government intervention in the market economy, which ultimately leads to the oppression and suppression of the principles of the rule of law and personal rights.
