The Return of the State. Russia in the 2000s 2000-2012

The book is based on an online course of lectures delivered in 2016 and is dedicated to the political history of Russia from 2000 to 2012. The author's goal was to find a balance between the history of the state and the history of society, to trace the changes in state institutions, the transformation of interest groups, and behavioral practices. E.M. Shulman was included in the register of media and individuals fulfilling the functions of a foreign agent by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on April 15, 2022.
