Eliza is the king's niece, but she is not at all keen on formal receptions and lofty speeches. She befriends the servants and trains in fencing, sneaking out of the castle at night.
Eliza's life ceases to be so serene when... her uncle forces her into negotiations about marriage. Unable to refuse the king, Eliza agrees to the care of Legion Grey, an attractive and mysterious young man tasked with finding the princess a good husband. But in his hands lies not only Eliza's future but also her heart.
