Golden Volume. Collected Works

This edition of Pushkin's works includes everything that is significant in the literary works of the great poet, everything complete and whole, including minor poems and excerpts. As for the correspondence, although it is very important for biographers, it does... not have the significance of literary works and cannot be classified, in the strict sense, among the poet's works, which is why all literary thoughts extracted from the letters are printed elsewhere in all editions. In the arrangement of the material, we were guided by what is accepted in most major editions of Pushkin, namely, first of all, we separated prose from poetry, and further in each of these large sections, particular works of significant volume were highlighted: novels, stories, dramas, while all other smaller works were arranged chronologically by year. Finally, regarding the text editing, for the lyceum works we took as a basis the edition of the academic edition edited by L.N.Maykov, and for the other works - the edition of the Literary Fund, edited by P.O.Morozov.
