Russia, 2000s.
In the river of a provincial town, the bodies of mutilated blonde girls are found. Each has a slit throat and cut corners of the lips, and a white wreath is placed on their heads, which is why the victims of the maniac are called «Ophelias».
Yar, the fiancé of the last, fifth «Ophelia», is obsessed with finding the killer. On the bridge where his beloved died, he meets the sister of the first victim, and she invites him to her home. Her house — a meeting place for the relatives and friends of the deceased. They all try to cope with their loss and hide the secrets that torment their souls.
Later, Yar finds a letter from his deceased fiancée in the mailbox, returned to the sender. The letter, written to a non-existent address and intended for a father she could not know…
