It has already been two weeks since you last received news from your brother John. The last letter came from Mont Blanc. You don't believe he could just disappear, which means something has happened to him! You are determined to find him, but will you succeed? What are you willing to do for your brother, and what price are you ready to pay?

«Window of Stories. What Does the Ice Hide?» — is an adventure narrative game in which you, as the young girl Sophie, will set out to search for your brother at Mont Blanc. During your challenging adventure, you will have to make many decisions that will affect all future events. Remember that every decision has its consequences.

The «Window of Stories» series — is a series of adventure narrative games where you play as a particular character. In the games of this series, you will solve puzzles and make plot-affecting decisions. Unlike some other games in the genre, this series features an interesting mechanic that may remind you of computer games, where you interact with the space and objects surrounding the hero. You will have circumstance cards that show everything surrounding the character, as well as action cards with windows or cutouts representing options for actions, items, or other objects that can be used to interact with circumstance cards. The interaction mechanic itself is simple: you choose an action card and apply it to the back side of a circumstance card, and then turn it over to see the visible information.

How to play?
Read the first card aloud and apply the effects indicated on the card, then start the game.

Use available action cards to interact with circumstance cards, progressing the story. Choose an action card and a circumstance card, then take both of these cards. Apply the action card to the back of the circumstance card and flip them over, making sure the cards do not shift relative to each other.
- If it is a window card, read the text in the window (if there is one) and apply effects as described on the card.
- If it is a cutout card, take from the deck the card number you see. If you see a symbol instead of numbers, apply its effects. If you see neither a number nor a symbol, nothing happens.

Sometimes you will have the opportunity to decode a secret code (for example, by solving a riddle). You can take a card with the obtained number from the deck only if a magnifying glass is drawn next to the number. If the card you think you should take does not have a magnifying glass image, then it is not the right card - you guessed the number wrong.

Your adventure will come to an end when you draw one of the ending cards. This scenario has several endings that depend on the decisions you made!
