The Hundred-Year War for Palestine

Rashid Ismail Khalidi (born 1948) is an American historian of Palestinian origin, a descendant of the first mayor of Jerusalem. He was the president of the Association for the Study of the Middle East, taught at the Lebanese University, the American University of Beirut, the University of Chicago, and Columbia University. He is the author of several books on the history of the Middle East. The book «The Hundred-Year War for Palestine» covers the period from 1917 to 2017 - a turbulent time in the Middle East. In his research, Rashid Khalidi, in addition to traditional historical methods and sources, relies on his family archive, memories passed down in his family from generation to generation, and his own experience as a person who participated in negotiations between Palestinian groups and Israelis.
