Philosophy permeates our world, shaping a person's views on the nature of humanity and their place in the universe. Initially, any educated person was referred to as a philosopher, and only much later did this term come to be applied to... those thinkers who study questions of worldview. Germany is a developed country with a high level of education. It has given the world many talented individuals and, of course, philosophers whose ideas have influenced global culture. Friedrich Nietzsche and Georg Hegel, Martin Luther and Johann Gottlieb Fichte, Immanuel Kant and Arthur Schopenhauer, Novalis and Edmund Husserl — each of them deserves that we at least slightly engage with their wisdom.
