It all starts with this, what’s her name... Well, in general, with that woman in the parking lot. Dressed in a nightgown, she lies on her back, looking at the sky. The nightgown is white, and around her neck are embroidered those little blue... what are they called? Oh yes, forget-me-nots. A small crowd has gathered around her. Everyone is in uniform... I mean, everyone is younger than this woman, much younger. They look at each other. They look at the sky. They look down, at the woman. They whisper...

Rose is over eighty, she has dementia. However, her life goes on. Sometimes remarkably insightful, sometimes astonishingly forgetful, she spends her days wandering the corridors of the nursing home, contemplating its staff and residents, and waiting for visits from her emotionally distant children and grandchildren. But one day, her roommate is found dead after falling out of a window. And Rose begins a real investigation...

This is both a sad and a funny, and truly touching story about how differently some people see the world, yet they see what is inaccessible to others.
