The same theme is raised in the last novel by Isai Kalashnikov, first published after his death in 1999 - and again the writer masterfully captivates the reader in the vicissitudes of the lives of his heroes, proving that in history there are no such things as big and small, that the measure of everything is man and his place in the world.
