Board game - WordMaster

 Play the board game «WordMaster» and expand your vocabulary! Create new words and earn points for the letters used. Be the most attentive and be the first to find a word among the letters on the cards!

    Game components:
    • cardboard letter cards – 108 pcs. (small card – 4.5 x 4.5 cm.)
    • game rules – 1 pcs.

    The game is intended for children aged 6 and older, but will also be interesting for adults.


How to play?

    Goal of the game:
    To create as many words as possible and earn the maximum number of points. 

    Preparation for the game:
    Shuffle the cards, turn them face down, and distribute them equally among participants. Each player stacks their cards face down in front of them, hiding the letters. If there are extra cards, place them face up in the center of the table so that everyone can see the letters.
Determine the order of play. The first player is the one who names the tenth letter of the alphabet (the letter can be changed each time). Players take turns in a clockwise direction.

    Gameplay:
    The first player takes the top card from their stack and places it in the center of the table with the letter facing up, next to the already revealed cards. Everyone tries to come up with a word from the available letters, striving to outpace their opponents.
    The player who succeeds must shout: «I see a word!», after which they create a word from the revealed cards and show it.

   Important! The word must be a noun in the nominative singular (exception - words that do not have a singular form, for example: scissors, pants, glasses). In this game E = Ё, И = Й, Ь = Ъ,

    If a player correctly forms a word from the cards, they take them and place them in their stack of won cards with the letters facing up.

    If a player makes a mistake (missing a letter, incorrectly formed word, etc.), they must give one card from their stack of won cards to each player, and return the cards attempted to the center of the table.

    If a player has fewer won cards than others, they simply place all their available won cards in the center of the table, keeping only one for themselves.
If a player has no won cards, the turn passes to the next player, and the cards attempted to form a word are returned to the table. 
If a player places a lucky card with a star on the table, they can take 30 seconds to come up with a word from the open letters while others remain silent. The star can be used as any letter.

   If a player fails to come up with a word within the specified time, everyone gains the right to name a word using the star. The first one to form a word takes the cards.

    The game continues until players have placed all their letters on the table, and no words can be formed from the remaining letters on the table.

    After that, score points indicated on the won cards. The winner is the one who earns more points.

   Game variations:
   You can also come up with your own rules. For example, count the number of won cards instead of points. You can determine the theme of the round (e.g., food, animals, etc.) or agree to form words only from two or more syllables.
