Since ancient times, caravans loaded with treasures and jewels from the mysterious East have continuously crossed the desert. In the heart of the desert, in a beautiful oasis, lies a small settlement called Khiva. It is here that the wisest...
merchants from distant lands gather to acquire exotic goods.
Use your talent in trade to attract wealthy caravans and become the richest and most influential merchant of the East.
Welcome to Khiva!
«Khiva» — is a colorful family game based on the mechanics of «tug of war», but here you will be tugging... camels. You will act as the owners of trading posts who need to attract caravans with the most expensive cargo and on the way acquire even more valuable goods. To do this, you will play cards of different colors and denominations at the same time. The color of the card corresponds to the color of the camel, and the denomination indicates the number of steps it will take. However, it's not so simple: if several players have played cards of the same color, the camel will go to the player who played the card with the lower denomination, while the others receive a small compensation of 1 gemstone. Strategy, foresight, and moderate greed will help you win in the board game «Khiva» .

How to play?
The game lasts several rounds until tokens run out in one of the goods piles.
During each round, you will try to attract a caravan of camels carrying tea to your trading post. Along the way, the caravan will pass through shops, where you can buy valuable goods.
Each round consists of 2 phases.
1. Simultaneous card selection
Players simultaneously choose 1 movement card from their hand and place it face down on their trading post. Then they select another card from their hand and secretly pass it to the player on their left. Then everyone flips their movement cards face up on their trading posts.
2. Movement of camels
In this phase, camels are activated in turn, and depending on the movement cards played in the previous phase, each camel moves toward the trading post of a particular player. If a camel stops at a shop, its effect triggers: the player can gain gemstones, a rug, or spend gemstones to buy salt. When a camel reaches a trading post, the owning player takes a tea token from the back of the camel and can rearrange rugs of the camel's color on their board to score victory points at the end of the game.
If at the end of the round players have 1 card left in hand, they receive new movement cards, and a new round begins.
The game ends when, at the end of a round, the tokens run out in one of the goods piles. Players count points for delivered tea and rug tokens, purchased salt tokens, and remaining gemstones. The player with the most points is declared the winner and the most successful merchant.
The game also includes rules for two players.
