The House in Which...

On the outskirts of the city, among standard new buildings, stands the Gray House, where the Sphinx, the Blind Man, Lord, Tabaki, Macedonian, Black, and many others live. It is unknown whether Lord genuinely comes from a noble lineage of... dragons, but the Blind Man is indeed blind, and the Sphinx is wise. Tabaki is certainly not a jackal, although he loves to profit from others' goods. Each inhabitant of the House has its own nickname, and one day within it can sometimes encompass as much as we, in the Outside World, cannot experience in an entire lifetime. The House either accepts or rejects everyone. The House holds countless secrets, and the banal "skeletons in the closets" are just the most comprehensible corner of that invisible world, which cannot be accessed from the Outside World, where the familiar laws of space-time cease to function.
The House is something much more than a boarding school for children abandoned by their parents. The House is their separate universe.
