What do you like most about your teenage years? And least? What would you like to change? What are you afraid of? Why do you think adults are such a drag?
These questions were asked by Lynn Skober to real teenagers, and she received responses which she turned into first-person narratives about this beautiful yet challenging period of life. Skober succeeds in truthfully depicting how a teenager views the world - no longer a child, yet not quite an adult.
In the monologue stories of this book, every reader, whether a teenager currently experiencing the joys and sorrows of youth, or an adult reminiscing about their younger days, will recognize themselves. The ease and humor with which these stories are written do not diminish their sincerity in the slightest.
