The First Cell

Professor Azra Raza of Columbia University wrote “The First Cell” to fundamentally change the commonly accepted viewpoint on cancer treatment. She explores cancer from all sides: medical, scientific, cultural, and personal. She sets goals that seem fantastic until a strict logical chain is established. You see at once an experienced physician, a subtle connoisseur of art, and… a wife who is losing her dearly loved husband. It is extremely important that Dr. Raza gives a voice to her patients and their loved ones “let the pain scream”, for many have forgotten that alleviating their suffering is the main goal of science and medicine.
