"Tower" is an exciting board game. The principle is quite simple: a tower is built from even wooden blocks (each new "floor" is made by alternating the direction of laying), and then players start carefully pulling out one block at a time and placing it on top of the tower.
How to win in "Tower"
The winner is the one who pulls out the last block without collapsing the tower. You need to act carefully and attentively, and you should also immediately think about how to
place the element on top: it is often more difficult than just pulling it from the "foundation".
Is the tower getting tall?
If the players are experienced and careful, the tower gets very tall: it seems that if a butterfly sits on it, the whole structure will collapse. Many build high towers not for the game, but just out of curiosity - for example, to take a photo with it or to knock it down beautifully. By the way, the fall of the "Tower" is studied in American schools in physics lessons.
Why is this game useful for children?
Firstly, "Tower" very well develops fine motor skills, meaning it activates the brain areas responsible for sensory perception and thinking. It is known that such games help prevent various cardiovascular diseases in old age and significantly accelerate a child's intellectual development.
Secondly, "Tower" teaches spatial and architectural thinking: imagining which block is less burdened to pull it out is a fairly difficult but very necessary task for a child.
Thirdly, the game "Tower" develops team spirit: children can play it together and improve their communication skills.
Fourthly, "Tower" is great as a family game: it is interesting for both children and adults to play.
What other names are used for this game?
Around the world, "Tower" is known by different names. Here it is also called "City", in America - "Jenga", in Brazil - "Earthquake", in Europe it is known as "Leaning Tower", in Denmark - as "Brick House".
