The oil paints of the "Ladoga" series are produced by the Artistic Paints Factory "Nevskaya Palitra", a leading Russian manufacturer of artistic materials. They are traditionally considered some of the best oil paints produced domestically and are recommended for students of art schools and universities. In the palette of oil paints in the "Ladoga" series, expensive inorganic pigments, such as cobalt and cadmium, have been replaced with lightfast organic pigments. The paints are made using carefully selected ratios of components, therefore, the colors of the paints are similar to those made with more expensive cobalt and cadmium pigments. The earth colors in the series, such as ochre, sienna, and umber, include natural mineral earths. The colors of "Ladoga" paints are similar to the colors of paints based on more expensive cadmium and cobalt pigments. In work, soft brushes made of synthetic materials, squirrel hair, or bristle can be used. The paints adhere well to the base and have excellent mixability. The palette of these oil paints includes the most in-demand colors necessary for an artist.
