All components of the toy - a bench-like platform, 8 "nails" and a hammer - are made of wood. The child, tapping the hammer on the "nails", drives them flush with the platform, then flips the platform over - and hammers the "nails" in from the other side.
During the game, coordination of movements, large motor skills, dexterity, color perception are developed, centers responsible for speech development are stimulated, visual and auditory perception are developed, basic work skills are instilled, and concepts of "left", "right", "in the middle" are introduced.
To develop coordination of movements, teach the child to hammer in the nails. To do this, show them how it's done, then ask them to hammer in the nails independently. Show the little one how to flip the bench-like platform, later the child will flip it themselves.
Introduce the concepts of "left", "right", "in the middle". Before hammering in the nails on the right, say to the child, "let's hammer in the nails on the right", and similarly - on the left and in the middle. After some time, ask the child to complete the task - hammering in nails on the left, then on the right and in the middle. While checking the accuracy of the task, assist the little one, praise them if they complete the task correctly.
Teach the child to distinguish colors. Take one blue, one yellow, one red, and one green nail. Showing each nail, name its color. Then ask them to hammer in the blue nail, the red one, etc. Teach the little one their first counting skills up to six. Take the nails and, laying them out in a row, comment, one, two, etc. Then take one nail and ask the child, how many nails are you holding in your hand? Show two nails, three, etc. Ask the little one to give you one nail, two, etc.
