Who should I become now?.. “Peer Gynt” is one of the most significant works of Henrik Ibsen, the Norwegian playwright and reformer of European theater. It is a play about dreams, selfishness, and the endless search for oneself, which is comparable in significance to such works as Johann Goethe's “Faust” and William Shakespeare's “Hamlet.” In this edition, the original text of “Peer Gynt” is presented with a parallel translation by Anna and Peter Hansen.
