How to play?
"Call of Cthulhu" – is a role-playing game where the players write the plot themselves by acting out the roles of characters according to predefined rules. And to ensure that you, caught up in the gameplay, do not start ignoring these rules – a special player, called the keeper or game master, monitors their adherence. He also weaves the players' decisions into the fabric of the overall plot, devises the surroundings, and the actions of opponents. Role-playing games can be either completely verbal or use character and environment miniatures to immerse players deeper into the world of fantasy.
Traditionally, the likelihood of success in "Call of Cthulhu" is determined by rolling dice: in different situations, various amounts of points are required for a good outcome. It’s important to keep track of your character's mental health, for human consciousness does not always withstand encounters with the supernatural, and there is plenty of ancient magic and cruel demons in the game.
Who won?
In "Call of Cthulhu," as in other role-playing games, there is no clear goal to score the most points or kill the most monsters. Throughout the game, you will play the role of ordinary people: police detectives, historian scholars, journalists, who confront ancient evil. During the game, your character may well die or go insane, after which you can create an entirely different hero and immerse yourself in a new role. The main thing is to enjoy vibrant sensations from the game, experiencing thrilling adventures in a friendly company.
Attention! A rulebook "Call of Cthulhu: Keeper’s Book" or "Call of Cthulhu. Starter Set", a pencil, and a set of dice are required.
