Not being a composer, copywriter Jonas moves further away from words to sounds. He hears music in everything. The whistle of the kettle becomes a serenade for him, the hum of the refrigerator—a symphony. He immediately writes these impressions down...
in his notebook so as not to miss anything.
Escaping from disappointment in his profession and the tedious work in an advertising agency, as well as a deadlock in his relationship with his wife, the protagonist goes to a town in eastern Iceland. There he plans to finally compose something worthwhile that will become the main work of his life, whether it's a requiem born from the crackling of the fire or an etude for cello, saw, and hammer.
But upon arrival, Jonas loses his precious notebook with all his ideas and scores, along with it—his former bearings. From now on, he will have to listen very carefully to the sounds that surround him.
An original narrative filled with symbolism about the power of creativity, silence, and the search for balance between life and art.
