The Present Comes from the Past

1921 was a hungry year. 9-year-old Lida, while traveling from an Udmurt village to Siberia, experiences a railway disaster with her family. Her stepmother drives her, the only survivor, out of the house. Lida endures humiliation, but fate rewards the girl with a meeting with good people. As she grows up, she starts a family, has children. War. Lidia receives a message — her husband lost his legs during an explosion. How will their meeting take place, and will it happen? Alina, Lidia's daughter, is an adventure lover: she flies under the clouds, rides an ostrich, and at 76 becomes a model.
