The second year of high school begins for Takasu Ryuuji with an attempt to improve his appearance. However, there is one unpleasant circumstance: although his personality is calm, he has inherited the scary eyes of his gangster father, which often... leads to misunderstandings between him and his classmates. But everything changes when on the very first day of the new semester he accidentally encounters the most dangerous creature in the school - Aisaka Taiga, also known as the "Pocket Tiger." Despite her miniature size, Taiga can easily instill fear in those around her, and wherever she goes, she leaves a "bloody trail", which is how she got her nickname.
After an unfortunate first meeting with Taiga, Ryuuji does his best to avoid her. But he accidentally discovers that Taiga is in love with his best friend Kitamura Yuusaku, while at the same time, Taiga learns of his interest in her best friend Kushieda Minori. Taiga decides to let Ryuuji be her "personal servant" to help with Kitamura, and in exchange, she will help Ryuuji get closer to Minori.
Thanks to Ryuuji's "obsession" with cleanliness, and since Taiga's apartment is located very close, she ends up spending most of her free time (excluding sleep) at Ryuuji's house. Later, Ryuuji reveals a side of Taiga that people usually do not see, their relationship strengthens, and eventually a rumor spreads that they are dating.
