The second year of high school begins for Ryuuji Takasu with an attempt to improve his appearance. However, there is one unpleasant circumstance: although he has a calm demeanor, he inherited his father’s gangster-like menacing eyes, which often leads to... misunderstandings between him and his classmates. But everything changes when on the very first day of the new semester he accidentally bumps into the most dangerous creature at school - Aisaka Taiga, also known as the "Pocket Tiger". Despite her diminutive size, Taiga can easily instill fear in those around her, and wherever she appears, a "bloody trail" follows her, which is how she got her nickname.
After an unsuccessful meeting with Taiga, Ryuuji tries hard to avoid her.
But he accidentally discovers that Taiga is in love with his best friend, Kitamura Yusaku, while at the same time Taiga finds out about his interest in her best friend, Kushieda Minori. Taiga decides to allow Ryuuji to help her with Kitamura as her "personal servant" in exchange for helping Ryuuji get closer to Minori.
Due to Ryuuji's "obsession" with cleanliness and the fact that Taiga’s apartment is located very close, she ends up spending most of her free time (excluding sleep) at Ryuuji's house. Later, Ryuuji discovers a side of Taiga that people usually do not see, their relationship strengthens, and eventually rumors spread that they are dating.
