Resurrected Gods. Leonardo da Vinci

Published in 1901, the novel "Resurrected Gods. Leonardo da Vinci" continues the trilogy "Christ and Antichrist," based on the idea of the movement of history as a struggle between the religion of spirit and the religion of flesh. In 1494, an ancient statue of Venus is discovered in Florence. To evaluate the sculpture, the renowned artist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci is invited. Impressed by the greatness of the master, young Giovanni Beltrame becomes Leonardo's apprentice and accompanies his teacher on his numerous journeys. Leonardo has many concerns: he designs an aircraft, paints the "Last Supper," and conflicts with rivals — Michelangelo and Raphael. Giovanni, against his will, finds himself at the epicenter of various conflicts — between genius and envious, religion and reason, Christianity and paganism.
