About the game:
In the game "Historical Detective: Bets Are Made", players take on the roles of detectives assigned to investigate this challenging case. A mobile phone with QR code scanning capability is required to determine in the end how close your guesses are to the truth.
You are limited to 24 moves – so careful planning and analyzing every step is essential. Should you interview the acquaintances and relatives of the victim? Carefully examine the crime scene? Gather witness statements? There are many options, and each will bring you closer to the solution in its own way. The question is whether you can piece together a coherent picture from the fragments of truth and hints...

How to play?
At the beginning of the game, you should lay out the starting card, which contains the exposition. Then, following the instructions on the cards, you will reveal new cards and decks reflecting witnesses, clues, locations, and much more. Collectively, players must decide what to do next and then flip the corresponding card.
The reverse side may contain either just information or something more – for example, the card may instruct you to open a new deck, expanding the detectives' range of actions. Special attention should be paid to the illustrations – they may also contain clues! The facial expressions and emotions of the interrogated, small details of the surroundings  – even seemingly insignificant elements may lead to the solution.
However, you won’t be able to do everything in time. Most actions take time – once you’ve used up 24 cards with the hourglass symbol, the game ends. It’s time to find out how close you are to the truth!

Who won?
After the detectives finish their actions, you need to scan a special card with a QR code. You will be presented with a series of questions to which you should try to provide answers. When all detectives state their theories, scan the next QR code card – this will reveal the correct answers. Depending on how many questions you answered correctly, your performance will be evaluated. You either win or lose together: when it comes to solving crimes, there is no place for internal disagreements!
So what awaits ambitious detectives – universal recognition or dismissal?
