About the game:In the game "Historical Detective: Bets Are Made", players take on the roles of detectives assigned to investigate this challenging case. A mobile phone with QR code reading capability is needed to conduct the game – this is essential to determine in the end how close your guesses are to the truth.You are limited to 24 moves – so you need to plan your actions carefully and analyze each step. Question acquaintances and relatives of the victim? Examine the crime scene carefully? Gather witness testimonies? There are many options, and each will bring you closer to the solution. The question is whether you can piece together a coherent picture from the shards of truth and hints...
How to play? At the beginning of the game, you need to lay out the starting card, which contains the exposition. Then, following the instructions on the cards, you will uncover new cards and decks, reflecting witnesses, clues, locations, and much more. Collectively, players must decide what to do next and then flip the corresponding card.The reverse side may contain either simple information or something more – for example, the card may instruct you to open a new deck, which will expand the detectives' range of actions. Pay special attention to the illustrations – they may also contain evidence! The demeanor and emotions of the interrogated, small details of the environment – even seemingly insignificant elements can lead to a solution.However, there will be no time to do everything. Most actions require time – therefore, once you have used 24 cards with the hourglass symbol, the game will end. It's time to find out how close you have come to the truth!
Who won?After the detectives have finished their actions, it is necessary to scan a special card with a QR code. You will be presented with a series of questions, each of which you should try to answer. Once all detectives share their theories, scan the next QR code card – it will provide you with the correct answers. Depending on how many questions you answered correctly, your work will be rated. You either win or lose together: when it comes to solving crimes, there is no place for internal disputes!So what awaits the ambitious detectives – universal recognition or dismissal?
