The manual is intended for self-study of cost estimation in construction, taking into account modern requirements for the level of qualification of estimators, as well as for the training of cost estimation specialists and estimating engineers. It may be recommended for students of construction specialties and participants of professional development courses.
The new 7th edition of the book includes significant changes related to the reform of cost estimation, updating of the cost and regulatory framework, and the transition to a resource-based method of preparing estimates.
The manual presents material from the basics of cost estimation to the automation of cost calculations. The theoretical aspects of pricing and its features in construction are briefly outlined. The methodological and regulatory framework for determining the cost of construction products is provided. The book includes the composition of the estimated cost of construction and installation works, the fundamentals of pricing reform in construction, the content of estimating documentation, rules for calculating and counting the volumes of work, and examples of preparing estimates.
