Golden Horde

The trilogy by Ilyas Yesenberlin "Golden Horde" is a monumental historical canvas on which we see the birth and fall of a state formation consisting of many tribes and nationalities – the Golden Horde. Batu Khan, the son of Juchi and the grandson of the Conqueror of the Universe – Genghis Khan, following his bequests, managed to achieve much by conquering vast lands and strengthening the Horde. Batu Khan built the capital of the Golden Horde – the magnificent city of Sarai-Batu. But Batu Khan dies, and the entire Horde mourns. Those who ascend to the throne cannot boast of the character, courage, or vision of their predecessor. The struggle for the throne and the constant fear of losing it, internal strife, treachery, and betrayal take their toll – the Horde weakens, the bequests and laws of the Conqueror of the Universe depreciate, and the brilliance of the golden horde's sword fades. The trilogy depicts the fate of an ordinary person who merely desires a peaceful life.
