The Kidnappers of Marsupilami

Spirou and Fantasio caught an unknown animal - the marsupilami, so Fantasio could inherit his uncle's fortune. As required by the uncle's will, the friends handed it over to the zoo, and since then, they have lost their peace. How... can a living creature live in a cage? It's just like being in prison! Gradually, they become determined to take the marsupilami from the zoo and return it to its native forest of Palombia. However, they don't have time to bring their plan to life. First, they are informed that the marsupilami has died, and then the body of the animal disappears from the zoo veterinarian's office. They realize that the kidnapper is waiting for the zoo to close, so he can stealthily take the poor creature's body under the cover of night. Spirou and Fantasio set an ambush and pursue the criminal, who manages to escape by jumping over the zoo's fence. Based on indirect clues, Spirou realizes that the marsupilami is alive, and he and Fantasio begin an investigation that leads them to Manyana, where the famous animal tamer Zabalone is currently performing with his circus.
