Then and Now

"Then and Now" is a historical novel narrating the omnipotent Borgia clan, which dreams of the unification of Italy but repeatedly stumbles upon the resistance of the independent Republic of Florence. The conflict takes on a more and more fierce form, and finally, Florence sends an ambassador to the Borgias — the most brilliant political thinker of his time, the cynic and subtle intriguer Niccolò Machiavelli.
