Paper Theater: Non-Prose

Lyudmila Ulitskaya has provocatively titled her new book as non-prose. This is partly a ruse, because both scripts, personal diaries, memoirs, and plays read as a single narrative, the theme of which is life as theater. A paper one, inseparable from the writer's craft.
