1885. At his father's insistence, Vasily Kandinsky has to study law. But the pull towards painting is so irresistible that at the age of 30, he decides to devote himself entirely to art, moving to Germany. After meeting a new love, Vasily returned to Russia. But the revolution did not allow him to enjoy happiness for long. He had to leave home. This time forever. Vasily and Nina found a new refuge. Bauhaus once again brought them happiness. Until the fascists came to power in Germany…

1946. In a military hospital in Michigan, a young Native American regains consciousness after a two-year coma, speaks in pure Russian, and claims he is none other than the 77-year-old Russian artist Vasily Kandinsky.
