Words of Seraphim of Sarov

Saint Seraphim of Sarov, a hieromonk, clairvoyant, and miracle worker, is one of the most venerated and dearly loved saints both in Russia and around the world. The popular veneration of the elder spread throughout Russia during the 19th century. He was glorified by the Russian Church in 1903 among the saints at the initiative of Tsar Nicholas II. His carefully collected teachings contain the great wisdom of Orthodoxy, embodying the experience of the spiritual life of the Holy Fathers of antiquity and of the elder himself.
