Snowy Oblivion

Ten days before Christmas, Newcastle is covered in snow. Everywhere, there is a festive atmosphere and the cheerful laughter of groups of revelers can be heard. On such an evening, Sergeant Joe Ashworth and his daughter Jessie are forced to make their way home by subway. When everyone is asked to leave the train station due to bad weather, the girl notices that an elderly lady has been left behind in the carriage. As it turns out, the unfortunate woman has been silently murdered with a knife. Upon arriving at the crime scene, Vera Stanhope feels a familiar sensation that the case will be complex and interesting. Her intuition does not let her down. A few days later, the body of the only witness to the murder is found. The clues to both crimes lead to the ill-fated Harbour Street, where the first victim lived.
