Anya from Ingleside

The sixth book in the series about Anne Shirley. Seven years have passed since the events of "Anne's House of Dreams." Anne and Gilbert live in Ingleside, and they have five children: James Matthew (Jem), Walter, twins Anne (Nan) and Diana (Di), and Shirley. Anne gives birth to their sixth child – Bertha Marilla Blythe, shortened to Rilla, who becomes the object of delight and adoration for all her siblings. The action of the novel spans about six years. The children gradually grow up, make friends, get into predicaments from which Anne and Gilbert have to rescue them, recalling their own childhood pranks.
