Late Prophets. The term "Late Prophets" refers to the following four books: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the Book of the Twelve. In the latter case, it is generally accepted that the twelve minor "prophetic books" constituted one scroll — the fourth....
Thus, the four books of the Late Prophets serve as a symmetrical complement to the four books of the Early Prophets, and together the eight books make up the complete prophetic canon. Prophets are the second section of the Hebrew Bible, Tanakh, which follows directly after the Torah — the Pentateuch. This edition presents the second part of the section — the Late Prophets, including the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the Twelve Minor Prophets. The new translation of the Hebrew Bible aims to provide the reader with a Russian version of the Masoretic text, as close as possible to the original and free from biased readings. The translation is based on data from modern science and traditional Jewish exegesis and takes into account the experience of previous translations of the Bible into Russian.
In this edition, translational interpretations based solely on exegesis or outdated scientific ideas have been corrected, and the texts of the translation have been aligned with the current level of research on the Hebrew Bible. The translation is accompanied by notes of a philological nature and historical-real comments necessary for an adequate understanding of the biblical text. '
