Blue Pills

Frédéric Peters is a well-known Swiss illustrator and comic book author. He has already published over 20 books and received several awards at the international festival of comic stories in Angoulême. 
In the graphic novel "Blue Pills," he shares his own love story and reveals a topic that is usually not talked about: the serious illness of a loved one. His girlfriend and her small child are diagnosed with HIV, the very terrible immune deficiency virus that leads to AIDS. Every day, the child must swallow small blue pills to fight against this disease. With talent and humor, Frédéric Peters describes the everyday life of all three: doubts and concerns, glimpses of hope and moments of complete happiness. 
First published in 2001, the book continues to be reissued in the author's homeland and has already been translated into a dozen languages. Currently, the Franco-German channel Arte is preparing its adaptation.
