The third book of the cycle is dedicated to a short but eventful period in the history of Russia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The attempt to strengthen the temple of autocracy led to its complete collapse. The locomotive of the empire, having gained full speed towards victory in the world war, crashed against the wall of the rigid traditions of the Romanov dynasty. In the deepening twilight of the empire, new social and political forces emerged on the stage that are to determine the future of the country, its state structure and legal system.
