House on Sunny Street

While young Moji sat with her sister in their grandfather's garden in Tehran, covered with vine leaves, listening to tales from «One Thousand and One Nights», a revolution was brewing in the country.

When the last Shah of Iran left the country, it forever changed her life — the agonizing first days of the revolution, immigration to the USA, hostility from classmates. 

But one day her family will return to post-revolutionary Iran, and Moji will have to learn to live anew in her native unfamiliar country. In her new school, she will find a friend who will introduce her to the world of novels by Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, and Gogol, which have been removed from libraries. 

From the moment she delves into forbidden readings, Moji will begin to change, to realize herself and her path, while the unstable world around her continues to churn and present her with new challenges.
