Before you is a kind of lyrical diary of the era, which, in the words of Nikolai Otsupa, «in terms of strength and energy, as well as in abundance of astonishing creations, has almost no analogy in the West: it is as if phenomena compressed into three decades, which took, for example, all of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century in France».
