Elin is a young Yazidi woman living with her family in a mountain village in Sinjar, northern Iraq. The village, seemingly lost in the mountains, is far removed from political strife, and time seems to have stood still there.

But these illusions shatter when Elin's husband, a journalist, suddenly goes missing. A brutal Organization spreads its influence across the country, penetrating even its most remote corners, while its members mask violence with religion. 

In her search for her husband, Elin herself is captured and then sold in a slave market. Will she be able to reunite with her family?

Elin faces not only the challenge of escaping and finding her husband but also the need to save her sons, who have become involved with this Organization.
