Diaghilev and With Diaghilev

On the 150th anniversary of the great Russian theatrical and artistic figure Sergey Pavlovich Diaghilev (1872-1929), a major work by the famous dancer, world-renowned choreographer, and researcher of ballet theater Sergey Mikhailovich Lifar (1905-1986) is being published. The book consists of two parts.
The first part - "Diaghilev" - is an engaging biography of the great reformer of Russian art - the inspirer and organizer of the creative association and magazine "World of Art", artistic exhibitions, and concerts of Russian music, and the creator of the company "Russian Ballet" that existed from 1909 to 1929.
The second part - "With Diaghilev" - is Lifar's candid and profound memories of their personal relationship, which lasted from 1923 (when the young dancer joined his troupe) until the last day of Diaghilev's life.
